By the end of this upcoming week, college football fans all over will know where the nation’s No. 1 outside linebacker will play.
Lyndell Wilson, a 5-star prospect from Carver High School (Montgomery, Ala.), announced on his Twitter account that he will announce his top five on Dec. 1 and then make his commitment on Dec. 4.
The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder told SEC Country two weeks ago that Florida was his No. 1 school with Alabama being a close second. It needs to be noted that the Gators signed one of his best friends, Antonio Nelson, a week ago. Shortly after announcing his decision, Nelson said Wilson texted him congratulations and had this to say:
“He is very proud of me,” Nelson said of Wilson’s message. “He told me that he wasn’t going to Florida by himself. He shot me that text and told me that.”
If Wilson did commit to Florida, he would become the Gators’ highest-rated recruit.
