NFL.com continued with their top players to watch series on Friday, and it was the big boys’ turn.
The website’s Lance Zierlein listed the top 10 interior linemen to watch in 2016, and four SEC players made the cut.
LSU center Ethan Pocic was named the No. 2 lineman after earning Second-Team All-SEC honors last season. The 6-foot-7, 309-pound lineman started 11 games for the Tigers last season and registered 128.5 knockdown blocks.
Auburn’s Braden Smith came in at No. 4 on the list. The junior guard was also voted Second-Team All-SEC in 2015.
Florida’s Martez Ivey was featured after starting eight games on the Gators’ offensive line last season. The rising sophomore was ranked as the nation’s No. 1 offensive tackle in the 2014 class, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
The last SEC offensive lineman listed is Georgia Greg Pyke. The rising senior started 10 games for the Bulldogs last season.
