Nick Saban: Texas A&M’s skill players will be best Alabama’s faced
Alabama has already faced UGA running back Nick Chubb and Ole Miss wide receiver Laquon Treadwell in 2015, but coach Nick Saban said Texas A&M’s collection of talent is the best the Crimson Tide have prepared for this season.
Saban’s defense will face a stiff challenge Saturday. Texas A&M might not have Johnny Manziel, but coach Kevin Sumlin and the Aggies could have the deepest collection of impact wide receivers in the country.
Freshman Christian Kirk is already a star. Sophomores Speedy Noil and Ricky Seals-Jones were high-profile recruits who have big-play ability. Junior Josh Reynolds was a hidden gem on the recruiting trail, but he might be the most consistent of the bunch.
They’ve helped sophomore quarterback Kyle Allen become one of the top passers in the SEC. Allen has 1,274 passing yards, 13 touchdowns and two interceptions. He’s 10th in the country, and tops in the SEC, in passing efficiency at 169.0.
Saban noted he’s been impressed with the Aggies’ ability to run the football as well. Senior tailback Tra Carson is ninth in the SEC with 430 rushing yards, but both Allen and true freshman quarterback Kyler Murray can compliment Carson on the ground as well.
Saban: Texas A&M is the quickest team we've played. They have the best skill players we've faced.

Saban: Texas A&M has made more of a commitment to run the ball. That's created more balance for them and made them tougher to defend.

Saban on Texas A&M: "I think they have outstanding team speed, it's why they're good on special teams, … this is a very skilled, fast team."
