It’s not exactly rare for a sports media personality to go after one of their fans on Twitter for an opinion or hot take. But ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit took that to a new level on Sunday.
Herbstreit, perhaps rightfully, tore apart an apparent Arkansas fan for propping up the SEC during bowl season while the Razorbacks sit at home.
Take a look:
Actually looks like youre an Arkansas fan. When are they playing? Or do you just claim UGA, Bama, and Auburn as your own when your team doesn’t go to a bowl game?? That must be nice to talk trash on behalf of those teams when you’ve moved onto Basketball season for the last month https://t.co/6I6QSogI39

Ouch! — that man has a family, Kirk!
It hasn’t been a bad bowl season for the SEC — there’s still a few important games left to play — but the Big 10 has been dominant in its bowl games despite not earning a spot in the College Football Playoff.
Arkansas is in a state of transition after firing Bret Bielema following the 2017 season. The Razorbacks are moving forward with former SMU coach Chad Morris, who brings promises of an explosive offense and consistent competition in the SEC West.
But for now, Arkansas might remain as the butt of these kinds of jokes. Until then, it might be a good idea to stop repping the successes of other SEC programs.
