Ole Miss picked up a huge victory against Alabama on Saturday, but it came at a cost. Rebels defensive back Tony Conner tore his meniscus on Saturday and will miss the next four weeks, coach Hugh Freeze announced on Monday. Conner will have surgery on his knee Tuesday.
Conner was a big part of the Ole Miss defense that had the nation’s top scoring unit a season ago. He was second on the team with 69 tackles in 2014.
The next four games for Ole Miss are against Vanderbilt, Florida, New Mexico State and Memphis.
