NEW ORLEANS — Josh Clarke, one of Louisiana’s top prospects for 2017, has early SEC offers from Ole Miss and UGA.
Another SEC school that the 3-star linebacker from Riverdale High School would like to hear from is the Florida Gators.
“I wouldn’t say it’s a dream school, but Florida is a school is a school that’s had some interest. I would like more attention from the Florida Gators, “ Clarke told SEC Country.
Clarke has eight early offers, including Arizona State and Cincinnati. He is also hearing from LSU, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi State, Missouri and Texas A&M, among others. But no school no more than the Rebels.
“I hear from Ole Miss like every day of the week,” Clarke said. “I hear from UGA and coach (defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt) now and then.”
The 6-foot-3, 225-pounder has made recent visits to LSU and Ole Miss. He is hoping to generate more offers.
“Recruiting is going fine, but it’s not as good as I’d want it to be,” Clarke said. “Still, a lot of schools have been picking up on me, and it’s exciting.”
