Malcolm Askew has already acknowledged that UGA is his clear leader followed by Clemson, Ole Miss, Florida and LSU, but the athlete still decided to add 15 other schools in the mix.
Askew, a 4-star athlete from McAdory High School (McCalla, Ala.), included six other SEC schools in his initial top 20 group, cutting down his list of 37 offers. The only SEC schools to not make the cut were Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Arkansas. Out of that group, he only holds an offer from the Aggies.
The nation’s No. 13 athlete in 2017 admitted to SEC Country that he almost committed to UGA last summer. After a recent trip to UGA, Askew had this to say about the Bulldogs.
“I thought the gap between Georgia and the rest of the schools on my list was probably closing but after that talk with Coach Richt and how it went down the gap it seems like it is growing and increasing every time I go to Georgia.”
But in a recent interview, he said if the coaching staff was to change, he would need to reevaluate his recruitment.
Askew is rated as the state of Alabama’s No. 7 prospect for 2017.
Continuing 2 Narrow My List, Top 15 or 20 will come after the season but of now 1. GEORGIA ?? 2. CLEMSON ?? 3. OLE MISS ??⚪️ ARE SECURED‼️
