Potato Bowl 2017: Preview for Wyoming-Central Michigan
The big thing to watch with this game will be whether or not Allen ends up playing in this game. Allen did not play in either of Wyoming’s last two games of the season due to a shoulder injury, which were both losses for the Cowboys. When he has played, Wyoming is 7-3 on the season, and those three loses came against Iowa, Boise State and Oregon.
If Allen can’t go, Wyoming will go with quarterback Nick Smith. The junior quarterback completed 40 of his 74 pass attempts, while throwing 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.
Central Michigan went 8-4 this season. Morris finished second in the MAC in passing yards and touchdowns on the season with 2,908 and 26 respectively. The Chippewas ended the season on a 5-game winning streak and have just one loss since the start of October.
If Allen plays, Wyoming has a great shot of winning, even if his number haven’t been incredible this year. But if he doesn’t, than Central Michigan could have an excellent chance of winning.
