Talk about making a splash.
Terrell Bailey went from zero offers to two in a matter of no time. Those offers happened to come from Arkansas and Tennessee.
The Class of 2017 cornerback from John Ehret High School (Marrero, La.) now holds two offers — both from SEC schools — in what has been a whirlwind couple of weeks for Bailey.
“It’s exciting and surprising,” Bailey laughed.
For now, Bailey is not leaning toward the Razorbacks nor the Vols, just taking the recruiting process slowly as he continues to ring in big-time offers.
“I really don’t know right now,” Bailey said. “I’m just getting to know them at the moment”
Additionally, Bailey said he wasn’t expecting these kinds of offers to roll in this quickly — or at all — for that matter. He said he isn’t waiting on any other SEC offers, but will welcome them.
“Whatever comes my way will be a blessing,” he said.
The 5-foot-11.5, 175-pound cornerback just wrapped up his junior season, and is currently unranked, according to the 247Sports’ composite rankings.
The up-and-coming cornerback has turned to elder teammates for advice in how to deal with a suddenly budding recruitment.
“The important thing is to stay humble,” Bailey said.
