Isaiah Wilson, a 5-star offensive tackle from New York, released a list of his Top 8 via his Twitter account Thursday. There’s a heavy SEC feel among his favorites.
The 6-foot-7, 322-pounder narrowed down his 26 reported offers to UGA, Alabama, Clemson, Florida, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State and Rutgers.
Wilson is ranked as the nation’s No. 5 offensive tackle and the No. 21 overall prospect for the Class of 2017. He’s also regarded as the No. 1 player in New York for his signing class.
He plays for Poly Prep Country Day in Brooklyn and his interest in playing SEC football is another indicator that the recruiting footprint of the conference covers all 50 states.
The junior told DawgNation.com earlier this year that UGA was one of his childhood favorites. He became familiar with SEC and UGA football growing up watching games with his father on television.
