SEC on CBS broadcaster Gary Danielson wore a robe Saturday while interviewing Peyton Manning on-air.
It took everyone by surprise including Manning and the internet reacted accordingly.

Everything was sorted out on Monday by Verne Lundquist, Danielson’s partner in the booth, when he spoke to the Monday morning quarterback club in Birmingham.
“We had Peyton, by design, was going to come up and spend most of the second quarter with us,” Lundquist said. “Gary came up with the idea of sneaking out of the scene and then hiding. I introduced Peyton and kept his attention. Gary put the robe on and snuck up behind him.
“Peyton had a hernia. He started laughing the minute he saw it. It was really funny.”
So it was all a big surprise. Credit to Danielson for having some harmless fun at Manning’s expense given his new DirecTV commercials poking fun at Manning’s new-found down time in retirement.
One new stat: Alabama is now 1-0 when he wears a robe.
