While many are celebrating South Carolina and Clemson football victories in the Palmetto State, others are mourning a tragedy for another South Carolina football team.
According to a report from WSOC TV’s Alyson Sloway, four people have died and an estimated 42 more are injured following a bus crash in North Carolina involving the Ramah Juco Academy football team from Rock Hill, S.C.
State troopers told WSOC that a front tire of the bus blew, which caused it to travel off the side of the road and crash into an overpass bridge on the Highway 74 bypass Saturday afternoon. They were headed to University of God’s Chosen in Fayetteville, N.C., according to the report.
The report does not have ages or identifications for any of the casualties in the accident. As of the time this article was published, the scene was still being investigated.
