Earlier this year, ESPN laid off a number of employees, including some faces that many college football fans were familiar with, such as Mark May and Danny Kanell.
And now it appears that even more ESPN employees will be let go. According to a report from Michael McCarthy of the Sporting News, the next round of layoffs, which could affect as many as 40-60 employees, will take place in late November or early December.
And per McCarthy’s sources, the layoffs won’t be pretty.
“This time it won’t matter if you’re ‘liked’ or not. It’s not going to be pretty.”
A number of big-time personalities were let go in April, and many were unhappy with the decisions. In addition to May and Kanell, many college football writers were let go.
ESPN declined to comment on McCarthy’s story.
