Mississippi State will have an entire new coaching staff on defense, according to the Clarion-Ledger’s Michael Bonner.
Mississippi State defensive line coach David Turner is headed to SEC West rival Texas A&M, according to Bonner. Turner coached the Bulldogs for a six seasons during two different stints, including the 2013-15 seasons.
Turner left despite being promoted to assistant head coach by Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen. The Bulldogs have had a complete overhaul on defense since last season. It includes the hiring of new defensive coordinator Peter Sirmon.
