Velus Jones’ stock has risen considerably in recent weeks.
The three-star receiver and USC commit has landed offers from Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Michigan and Virginia Tech, respectively.
Of those schools, however, Jones told SEC Country he is being heavily recruited by Oklahoma, Michigan and Tennessee despite his verbal pledge to the Trojans.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound senior from Saraland, Ala., said each of the three schools are a fit in one way, shape or form. He has family located just a short drive away from Norman, Okla. Jones’ good friend, Gavin Bryant, is a redshirt freshman for the Volunteers. And the Wolverines, Jones says, come off as a family.
Jones has taken official visits to each of the aforementioned schools, including a recent stop to Knoxville, Tenn., over the weekend. He confirmed to SEC Country he will likely take his remaining two official visits to Notre Dame (Jan. 15) and Mississippi State (Jan. 22).
He is rated as the No. 13 player in Alabama.
