With the rabid fanbases, wacky coaches and a host of other personalities, no week in the SEC is without a few eyebrow raises, belly laughs or head scratches.
Here’s a recap of another entertaining week around the conference.
— YouTube personality FunnyMaine gave us another golden recap from an Alabama fan’s perspective.
— Steve Spurrier said earlier this week he’s “a little bored” now that he’s not coaching. So how’s he keeping busy? Apparently shooting commercial for Dr. Pepper:
— Al.com’s SEC Shorts set its sights on Mississippi State fans and twisted the knife in the Bulldogs’ side. Not cool.
— Tennessee fans started Alabama hate week with a bang when they gave the Nick Saban statue outside Bryant-Denny Stadium a new accessory.
The Vols have crossed enemy lines.

— The best hype video yet this season may be this one for Texas A&M’s bye week.
— Tim Tebow hadn’t been hit like this since he wore orange and blue for the Gators.
— Bleacher Report (@BleacherReport) October 11, 2016
— The death of LSU live mascot Mike VI hit everyone in college football. Even Tusk IV, Arkansas’ live mascot, sent his condolences.
— In a piece on Bleacher Report, West Virginia quarterback Will Grier described his transfer from Florida after his PED suspension. He indicted Jim McElwain is the man who attributed most to his departure from the program and the SEC.
“I read in stories that I left the team, that it was my decision. It wasn’t. Coach McElwain was telling the media that I was eligible to practice with the team, while telling me I didn’t need to be around the team at this time,” the story read. “I kept asking him what I could do to make it work there. He finally ended up saying, ‘Maybe a fresh start isn’t the worst thing.’ He said that, and I said, ‘So I guess that’s the move.’”

— Yes, this post is long but worth it. Best line: “Some say that Butch Jones looks like a tomato, which makes sense considering how much the team is playing catch up.”

— Last weekend Chad Kelly tried to fight some high school kids. Now he’s sub-tweeting. We may need Mia Khalifa to do some investigating.
Happiness is a function of expectations . ?

— This guy knows why Florida decided to reschedule its game adjacent LSU for Nov. 19.

— Nick Saban has mellowed out through the years. How does he know? Because his 2-year-old granddaughter doesn’t soil her diaper every time he walks into the room.
“My kids were always afraid of me,” Saban said on his weekly radio show (via AL.com). “And most of the players are a little afraid of me. But little Amelie, she’s not afraid of me at all. And I expect her to be afraid of me and she’s not. It’s kind of shocking, actually.
“I mean, I’m really, really moved by that. It means that through the years, I’ve mellowed enough that some little one that I love isn’t afraid of me. And I really appreciate that.”
— Hopefully Saban enjoy’s his weekend in Knoxville, where the trash talk is turned up to 11.
