With all the teams in the SEC now at least halfway through the season, a prominent offshore sports book has updated its future odds on who will win the SEC Championship game.
Alabama (8/5), LSU (3/1), Florida (7/2), UGA (17/4) and Ole Miss (17/4) now have the best odds to win the conference, according to sportsbook.ag.
Alabama has rebounded well after an early loss to Ole Miss, with convincing victories over UGA, Arkansas and Texas A&M. If the Crimson Tide beat Tennessee on Saturday, it sets up a crucial matchup with undefeated LSU, which currently has the second best odds to win the SEC.
Florida lost for the first time this season last week, but the Gators still control their own destiny in the SEC East. Florida’s remaining conference games are against UGA in Jacksonville on Oct. 31, Vanderbilt and South Carolina. If Florida beats the Bulldogs, it’s hard to envision a scenario where the Gators do not represent the East in Atlanta.
Florida may be able to survive another conference loss, but UGA is in a must-win situation. The Bulldogs already have two conference losses with remaining games against Kentucky and Auburn.
If you’re feeling lucky, a $100 bet on Vanderbilt to win the SEC would pay out $500,000. You can see the full list of odds below.
