SEC Network was in need of a new face for its traveling football gameday show this fall, and it appears that Laura Rutledge will be filling that void.
On Sunday, it was reported that previous SEC Nation host Maria Taylor would be moving to the set of ESPN’s College GameDay in 2017 as the replacement for Sam Ponder, who took Chris Berman’s roll on NFL Countdown.
In the latest of ESPN’s anchor shuffle, the SEC Network announced on Tuesday that Rutledge would be the new host of SEC Nation.

Rutledge, who joined the network in 2014 after being crowned as Miss Florida in 2012, will be the show’s third host in as many seasons. But that’s not a bad thing, as original show host Joe Tessitore and Taylor both used it as a springboard to a more prominent role on the parent network.
