The 2016 SEC championship game will be held final one time in the Georgia Dome this season, so it makes sense the conference would want to have a memorable logo for the game.
The SEC revealed that logo during SEC Media Days on Tuesday.

The logo also celebrates the 25th anniversary of the conference championship, making it the oldest in college football. The inaugural game was won in 1992 by the Alabama Crimson Tide over the Florida Gators, 28-21, in Birmingham, Ala. Beginning in 2017, the game will be held in the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium, also in Atlanta.
The SEC also unveiled its tag line for the conference: “It just means more.”

More is definitely right. Not only is the SEC generally regarded as the most talented among the FBS conferences, it has the numbers to back it up, claiming eight of the last 10 national titles.
