For the second year in a row, the SEC will send four teams to the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City, tied for last season’s conference record.
The SEC represents half of the remaining field: Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and LSU.
Alabama and Georgia swept super regional opponents Washington and Florida, respectively, to make it to Oklahoma City, while Auburn and LSU each beat Arizona and James Madison in three games, respectively.
Here are Women’s College World Series brackets:
No. 4 Auburn
No. 8 Florida State
No. 12 UCLA
No. 16 Georgia
No. 2 Michigan
No. 3 Oklahoma
No. 6 Alabama
No. 10 LSU
Competition will begin at noon ET on Thursday in a double-elimination setup, with No. 16 UGA taking on No. 8 Florida State. At 2:30 p.m., No. 4 Auburn takes on No. 12 UCLA.
In the second bracket, No. 3 Alabama takes on No. 6 Oklahoma at 7 p.m. in a rematch of last season’s super regional matchup — which Alabama won in three games. The final game of the day takes place between No. 2 Michigan and No. 10 LSU at 9:30 p.m.
The winners in the first games of each respective bracket will advance to face one another, while teams in the losing brackets face an elimination game.
