ESPN’s Football Power Index thinks very highly of several SEC teams.
The metric that measures a team’s strength and predicts how a team will fare going forward has four SEC teams in its top 10.
Alabama comes in at No. 1, which marks the second week in a row that the Crimson Tide have held the top spot. Auburn comes in at No. 6, ahead of an unbeaten Washington team. LSU is at No. 8. The Tigers were off this week and take on Alabama on Saturday. At No. 9, Texas A&M rounds out the SEC teams in the top 10.
The rest of the top five is Michigan at No. 2, Louisville at No. 3, Clemson at No. 4 and Ohio State at No. 5.
