For the second consecutive season, the SEC/Big 12 men’s basketball challenge will headline a slate of Saturday games in January.
The conferences announced that the matchups will take place Jan. 28, 2017 and feature 10 games. All contests will be televised on the ESPN family of networks.
Here is the full schedule for the fourth annual event:
- Texas at Georgia
- Baylor at Ole Miss
- Kansas at Kentucky
- Texas A&M at West Virginia
- Florida at Oklahoma
- Iowa State at Vanderbilt
- Kansas State at Tennessee
- Arkansas at Oklahoma State
- Auburn at TCU
- LSU at Texas Tech
Missouri, Alabama, Mississippi State and South Carolina are not participating in the challenge this season, but these teams will combine to play each other in conference matchups on the same day. Times for all the games will be announced at a later date.
“The SEC/Big 12 Challenge is a unique opportunity to showcase our basketball programs,” SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey said in a statement. “As evidenced this past season, playing the event on a single-date in January puts our programs in the college basketball spotlight.”
