The South Carolina offense was sputtering, but the special-teams unit picked it up.
Rashad Fenton raced 96 yards on a kickoff return for a touchdown against LSU to cut the Tigers’ lead to 14-10.
Fenton broke through the middle of the coverage near midfield and no LSU player came close to catching him once he passed the 50-yard line.
The touchdown was the true freshman’s first score of the season.
