It’s the offseason, which means it’s wise to break down the coming fall however possible to make these slow weeks tolerable. Sporting News helped out by creating an interesting list that names the biggest trap game for each College Football Playoff hopeful.
The entire post is worth a glance. But multiple SEC teams are included in the group. Check out the list below, with the College Football Playoff contenders displayed in bold.
- Alabama at Mississippi State (Nov. 11)
- Georgia vs. Kentucky (Nov. 18)
- Auburn at Arkansas (Oct. 21)
- LSU at Ole Miss (Oct. 21)
- Florida at South Carolina (Nov. 11)
Don’t be surprised if some of these matchups turn out to be tricky for the contenders.
For example, would it be a shock if Georgia lost to Kentucky? And with South Carolina as a possible SEC East contender, would it surprise if the Gamecocks found a way to beat Florida in Columbia?
Meanwhile, it seems unlikely that Alabama loses at Mississippi State. LSU should be favored against Ole Miss as well. Still, anything is possible.
