One of the most scary, obscure scenes of the college football season took place in TCU’s game against No. 12 West Virginia on Saturday.
TCU defensive lineman Aaron Curry began choking — it appeared his chin strap tightened around his neck — as he and his teammates stood on the field in Morgantown, W.Va., between snaps. Luckily, those teammates standing near him noticed quickly and helped remove his helmet. It looks like even a West Virginia player or two attempted to help.

Curry’s Horned Frogs lost the game to the Mountaineers, 34-10, dropping them to 4-3 on the season.
