South Carolina heads to Tennessee this Saturday, and several recruits will be tuning in.
Ahead of this weekend’s matchup, SEC Country polled a handful of Tennessee and South Carolina commits to see who they think will win.
Check out their predictions below.
South Carolina commits
Tre Jackson, 2016 3-star cornerback (South Carolina commit) — “South Carolina will get the upset. The team is gaining confidence and are starting to come together under Coach Elliott.”
Kelvin Harmon, 2016 3-star wide receiver (South Carolina commit) — “USC will win 34-23. I feel like they had a tough loss against A&M and they are going to try to win for Coach Elliott.”
Will Putnam, 2016 3-star offensive lineman (South Carolina commit) — “I think South Carolina pulls out an upset. They played well against Texas A&M and found a groove. I would just say that the turnaround I’ve seen in the team since Coach Elliot took over — the guys just seem more fired up and ready to go. I also think that everyone has already written off Carolina.”
Chris Smith, 2016 3-star cornerback (South Carolina commit) — “ I think South Carolina will win 17-14. Coach Elliott will have the boys fired up and ready. He will not lose two in a row.”
CJ Freeman, 2016 3-star running back (South Carolina commit) — “We will win 34-28. They’re playing with a chip on their shoulders and Elliott brings intensity and excitement to the team. They’re playing with something to prove.”
Lloyd Cushenberry, 2016 2-star offensive lineman (South Carolina commit) — “I think South Carolina will win 24-21. I believe in them. I just think they’re about to finish this season off strong these next few games.”
Carlin Fils-Aime, 2016 4-star running back (Tennessee commit) — “I believe that Tennessee will win. The bonds and connections that all of the players at UT have together is like no other. They all love one another, never give up, play for one another, and at the end of the day, they know they’ll be ready and willing to give it their all for each other.”
Marquill Osborne, 2016 4-star cornerback (Tennessee commit) — “UT will win easy. We are just a better team. We are more dominant on both sides of the ball. It’ll be a high scoring game, though.”
Devante Brooks, 2016 3-star tight end (Tennessee commit) — “It will be 35-14 Vols. We can stop South Carolina’s offense as long as we play fundamental football, stick on those receivers and get pressure on the quarterback. Their defense won’t be able to stop our run/pass game and our special teams will have a big night.”
Jeff George, 2016 3-star wide receiver (Tennessee commit) — “I think Tennessee is going to get the easy win. UT’s run game is too good.”
TaDarryl Marshall, 2016 3-star athlete (Tennessee commit) — “We’ll win. I don’t know the score, but it’ll be by two touchdowns for sure.”
Corey Henderson, 2016 3-star wide receiver (Tennessee commit) — “I got Tennessee 38-14. I feel like we are really starting to click on both sides of the ball. I think we’re finally putting the pieces together that we kind of missed in the games we let go earlier in the year.”
Tim Hart, 2016 3-star inside linebacker (Tennessee commit) — “I’m sure UT will win. I like how they match up pound-for-pound, and I think the team is starting to become more cohesive. I think UT is the better team.”
Desmond Henderson, 2016 3-star cornerback (Tennessee commit) — “I have Tennessee 42-28 because being from South Carolina and watching them, I don’t think they have an answer for Josh Dobbs, Alvin Kamara or Jalen Hurd, and that will open up the passing game. I feel like Tennessee will be able to do whatever they like. South Carolina also doesn’t have a consistent quarterback this year, so they won’t be able to get it done on offense.”
Austin Pope, 2016 3-star tight end (Tennessee commit) — “Tennessee gets the win 38-7. Our defense has been stepping it up — and offensively — we can’t be stopped. Special teams is playing great and the atmosphere is going to be crazy.”
