Tennessee DT commit pulls in offers from Mississippi State, Texas A&M
D’Andre Christmas-Giles’ (St. Augustine, La.) high school football season has come to an end, but his recruitment is seemingly just picking up.
Christmas-Giles, a 6-foot-2, 285-pound defensive tackle, and Tennessee commit, reported offers from both Texas A&M and Mississippi State in the last 72 hours.
“I wasn’t surprised,” Christmas-Giles said of the offers. “It’s a part of recruiting. I feel they (Texas A&M and Mississippi State) have two amazing football programs.”
Christmas-Giles said he currently does not have any official visits lined up, but intends to make trips to Tennessee and Texas A&M, as well as potentially Texas, Nebraska, TCU and Kansas.
The 3-star recruit has received 26 offers in a span of four months, and after pledging to Tennessee on Aug. 29 said he’s “solid” but considering all of his options.
“I’m still solid,” Christmas-Giles said of his commitment to the Vols, “but I am also open to my recruitment.”
Christmas-Giles is the 26th-rated player in the state of Louisiana and the 78th-rated defensive tackle in the nation.
