Texas A&M was ranked No. 5 two weeks ago in the Associated Press Top 25. Now, the Aggies are all the down to No. 15.
The free-fall continued this week as the Aggies fell seven spots from No. 8 to No. 15 in the latest edition of the AP Top 25. Texas A&M has dropped two straight games and lost three of its last four contests after losing to Vanderbilt and South Carolina last week. Things won’t get much easier for coach Billy Kennedy’s squad, as it will hit the road for contests against Alabama and LSU this week.
Kentucky was the second and final SEC team to earn a spot in the top 25. Kentucky dropped two spots to No. 22 after a bizarre week. The Wildcats combusted on the road in an awful 84-77 loss to Tennessee, but they made up for it with a decisive victory over Florida at home.
The Wildcats are a difficult team to figure out as the regular season approaches the homestretch. Kentucky is capable of great performances, such as Saturday’s win over the Gators, but is also susceptible to a poor performance such as the collapse against Tennessee on Tuesday. The Wildcats will have a chance to build another winning streak when they host UGA on Tuesday and travel to South Carolina on Saturday.
