The SEC is well represented on the rosters of the 10 Major League Baseball postseason teams.
Three SEC schools — Georgia, South Carolina and Missouri — were near the top of Division 1 schools in the most representatives from their schools on MLB postseason rosters.

Contrary to the NCAA tweet, Missouri only has three players on MLB rosters, as only one former Tiger is a member of the Cubs, rather than two.
But aside from that error, the SEC’s presence on the diamond this October can’t be underestimated, as some of the biggest names are former players from those three schools. For example, Washington Nationals pitcher Max Scherzer is a Missouri alum. Los Angeles reliever Josh Fields used to dominate on the mound for Georgia, while Boston Red Sox outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. is a former Gamecock.
