Three days out, Florida-Georgia tickets dropping on secondary market
It will be a battle between the top two teams in the SEC East this Saturday when Florida takes on Georgia at EverBank Field in Jacksonville. The annual rivalry game has added importance this season as Florida (6-1, 4-1 in SEC games) looks to put away the hopes of Georgia (5-2, 3-2 in SEC games) sneaking back in to claim the East title.
While hype continues to increase around the game, ticket prices have dropped considerably on the secondary market over the last several weeks. According to TiqIQ the average price for Florida vs Georgia tickets is now $199.15, marking a 46.4% drop from the September 12 average of $372.07. The cheapest ticket is currently listed for $66.
The drop is likely due to both team’s losses over the last several weeks, including Georgia’s two defeats by fellow SEC schools Alabama and Tennessee. The Gators took a 28-35 loss to LSU two weeks ago but remain the favorite in the East. With plenty on the line for both schools Saturday, Georgia will ultimately have to fight harder for the win after losing star running back Nick Chubb and barely inching past Missouri two weeks ago.
