According to ESPN, Clemson has this season’s best strength of record — a metric defined as the “chance that an average Top 25 team would have team’s record or better, given the schedule.”

Texas A&M, Alabama and Tennessee own the next three spots in strength of record through five weeks.

The Aggies are 5-0 after Saturday’s win over South Carolina. Next week, they host Tennessee, the No. 4 team in these rankings. The Vols (5-0) are coming off a last-second win over Georgia.
The Crimson Tide, who are the top-ranked team in the nation, are also 5-0 after routing Kentucky. They face Texas A&M and Tennessee in consecutive weeks on Oct. 15 and Oct. 22.
