Of the 11 undefeated teams remaining, six reside in the Big Ten and Big 12, while LSU is the SEC’s only unbeaten. That prompted some speculation from the SEC Nation analysts stationed in Tuscaloosa on Saturday:
Which of the Power Five conferences is most likely to be left out of the College Football Playoff?
Former Florida star Tim Tebow offered an interesting response.
“I think it’s the ACC or the SEC… They beat each other up,” Tebow said. “It is such a grind in the SEC. It is so hard. And yeah, LSU could lose a game. And then if they match up in the SEC Championship with one loss, they lose again, they’re not getting in.”
“Five conference champions with zero blemishes on their record, they’re the only conference with 12 games,” McElroy said.
