Ruiz listed Alabama, Ole Miss, LSU, Florida and Auburn, in that order, with only Michigan ahead of the Crimson Tide.
The four-star IMG Academy center is the No. 1 center of the Class of 2017, according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings. The 6-foot-3, 315-pound offensive lineman has reportedly received 30 offers, including ones from Kentucky, Missouri, South Carolina and Tennessee.
According to Keith Niebuhr of 247 Sports, Ruiz is scheduled to visit both Alabama and Auburn this week.
With Ryan Kelly off to the NFL after three years as the starting center for Alabama, the Crimson Tide are likely turning to junior J.C. Hassenauer, the No. 1 center of 2014, for the role in 2016.
