GAINESVILLE, Fla. — One of Florida’s uncommitted official visitors scheduled for this weekend did not make it to Gainesville.
Nick Eubanks, UF’s top tight end target, got sick on Friday and wasn’t able to make the trip, according to one of his coaches at American Heritage High School in Plantation, Fla.
Eubanks planned to visit the Gators with his teammate, four-star defensive end Brian Burns.
Burns and Eubanks attended the UF-FSU game together in November and were seen by the Florida coaching staff on the first day of the contact period (Jan. 14) as well as last Tuesday.
It is unclear if Eubanks will reschedule his trip to UF. He was at Alabama last weekend and currently has plans to visit Southern Cal next weekend before making his decision on National Signing Day.
The 6-foot-6, 230-pound Eubanks is rated a four-star prospect by 247Sports and the nation’s No. 15 tight end in the site’s composite rankings.
