One of the top offensive linemen in the country has several SEC schools on his mind.
Andrew Thomas, a 4-star left tackle from Pace Academy (Atlanta), told SEC Country that Georgia and Alabama are two of the SEC schools that he is considering right now along with Clemson, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State and Florida State.
Despite turnover at Georgia with a new coaching staff, Thomas said he has heard from the Bulldogs recently.
“I’ve talked to (Georgia offensive line coach Sam) Pittman,” Thomas said . “I talked to him when he was at Arkansas. He was just telling me that he’s at Georgia now. He’s a good coach.”
The 6-foot-5, 295-pounder also said he talks to Alabama frequently.
“I talk to (offensive line coach Mario) Cristobal and the linebackers coach, (Tosh Lupoi), he said.
The Pace Academy star says he plans on making trips to Ohio State, Alabama and Georgia early in 2016. As of now, no school holds an advantage over the next.
Thomas is ranked as the nation’s No. 15 offensive tackle and is the state of Georgia’s No. 10 prospect in the class of 2017.
