Jashawn Sheffield didn’t have long to talk about his second SEC scholarship offer. That’s understandable. He was on the sideline awaiting Georgia’s game against Georgia Southern.
“I love it,” the 2019 prospect said of the offer from the field in Sanford Stadium. “I’m just happy to have my second offer.”
Sheffield, who is from Frederica Academy (St. Simmons Island, Ga.), received his first scholarship offer from Tennessee last weekend. He spoke glowingly about the Vols. However, the home-state Bulldogs have a strong appeal.
“I could see myself playing there,” the 6-foot-2, 175-pound prospect said. “I think it’s a very good school.”
Sheffield said he has friends that are planning to attend Georgia. That could be a draw to Athens. As for now, he’s been impressed by his visit.
“The people are great,” Sheffield said.”I just love it here.”
