The “Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry” renews on Saturday. Who will win? We asked a few UGA and Auburn commitments and some of their top recruiting targets to share who they think will come out on top inside Jordan-Hare Stadium at Auburn.
Who wins on Saturday? UGA or Auburn?
Ben Cleveland, 2016 4-star offensive lineman (UGA commit) — “It will be a close game. I feel like it is going to come down to a big special teams play. Georgia wins 30-21.”
John Broussard, 2016 4-star cornerback (Auburn commit) — “I can’t really predict a score, but I think Auburn’s going to pull out the win. I just think they’ve got the push they needed with their last win, and with Carl Lawson back, the defense is playing like it’s supposed to.”
Trey Blount, 2017 4-star wide receiver (uncommitted) — “Georgia 27-20. I believe it is going to be an even game but Georgia’s secondary will make a big difference this week and cause some turnovers.”
Grant Holloway, 2016 3-star wide receiver (uncommitted) — “UGA in favor of the win 28-21. Defense will be the reason they win.
Antwuan Jackson, 2016 4-star defensive tackle (uncommitted) — “Whoa. This is a tough one.”
David Marshall, 2016 3-star defensive end (Auburn commit) — “I think Auburn is going to win. Georgia hasn’t been showing what they got without Nick Chubb. If Auburn rushes the quarterback the whole game, they got it 24-3.”
Jake Lawler 2017 4-star defensive end (uncommitted) — “Go Dawgs 24-14. Their defense has been playing well and after the game I witnessed (against Kentucky) they can get it going on offense.”
Nate McBride 2017 4-star linebacker (uncommitted) — “UGA will win 27-21! I have a feeling Sony Michel is going to go off.”
Xavier McKinney, 2017 4-star safety (Alabama commit) — “Georgia 14-10. Auburn has lost its focus on the season with all the distractions.”
Willie Allen, 2016 4-star offensive lineman (uncommitted) — “Both are very good teams. This game will be won in the trenches.”
Demetri Moore, 2016 3-star offensive lineman — “If Georgia plays like it is supposed to I think they may come out on top, but it just depends if they do what they are supposed to do. It is going to be close. Especially if Auburn plays like it did last week.”
Tre Nixon, 2016 4-star wide receiver (uncommitted) — “That’s a tough one. Don’t want to short change either team. Whoever wins the turnover battle gets the ‘W.’”
Charlie Woerner, 2016 4-star wide receiver (uncommitted) — “24-21 UGA. (It is) traditionally a great game.”
