After ESPN college football analyst Brock Huard questioned UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen’s toughness over the weekend, Rosen’s head coach Jim Mora has responded and defended his player.
“I would put very little stock into anything Brock Huard has to say about football,” Mora said, according to Awful Announcing. “That’ll be controversial, but it’s the truth.”
You can watch Mora’s full comments in the video below, with the Rosen topic coming up at about the 1:40 mark.
“I think it’s ludicrous that anyone would question Josh Rosen’s toughness when they don’t know the nature of his injury,” Mora continued.
Here’s the video of the incident during UCLA’s game at Washington over the weekend, where almost the entire broadcast team seems to question in some way either Rosen’s toughness or his attitude. That happens at about the 1:58:30 mark:
“No he’s not a friend of mine,” Mora said of Huard, despite the fact that he said he’s known the former Washington player for a long time.
And after these comments, it doesn’t look like that will be changing.
