If you have any inkling of fandom that extends beyond the realm of SEC sports, chances are you’re going to watch Game 7 of the NBA Finals on Sunday night.
LeBron James vs. Steph Curry. Cleveland vs. its sports curse. The winningest regular-season NBA team of all-time vs. infamy. Back-to-back titles vs. a legacy builder.
It’s high drama, and LSU coach Les Miles will be on hand to witness it. His wife and children surprised him with tickets on Saturday, part of a fun Father’s Day package that included dinner with his former college roommate in Cleveland.
As Miles relayed on ESPN on Saturday, he was visiting his daughter, Smacker Miles, in Austin, Texas. Smacker told him to pack an overnight bag, that the family was taking a trip to a lake. But after going through Dallas, the trip took a twist and continued on to Ohio.
Miles had one prediction about Game 7.
“You’re going to find that the Cavs are going to play lights out,” Miles said on SportsCenter.
