A week of respect and compassion from LSU toward South Carolina was capped by the ultimate gesture before Saturday’s game between the Tigers and Gamecocks.
The LSU marching band tried to make the Gamecocks feel at home by playing both South Carolina’s fight song and alma mater during Saturday’s pregame show.
LSU has done plenty to help South Carolina feel acclimated in Baton Rouge, La. after officials decided to move the game from Columbia, S.C. after flooding ravaged the area last week. LSU handed the keys to Tiger Stadium over to South Carolina student government representatives, greeted the Gamecocks with a barbeque lunch, hosted a pregame tailgate with free food and drinks for fans and will fly South Carolina out of Baton Rouge on its United Airlines charter plane.
