Just hours before the Alabama-Clemson game went down last week, there was the unfortunate tale of Joey Delk.
With the country watching during a live ESPN broadcast from the national title game, Delk had a chance to win $1 million by tossing a football through a target 25 yards away. And while there’s no shame in missing such a throw (former Ohio State QB Kirk Herbstreit missed it for charity just seconds later), it was the way in which Delk missed that turned him into the internet’s next viral video.
Feeling bad about the way that went down for Delk, ABC’s Good Morning America gave him a second chance at winning some money during Monday’s episode. In fact, the show gave him three throws to earn some cash.
Throwing alongside former Florida QB Jesse Palmer, Delk again came up empty in the contest– missing from as short as 7 yards away. Check it out:

It’s hard to call Delk a loser this time though, because he’ll be eating for free in 2017 while the rest of us schmucks have to pay. Delk earned a year of free groceries just for participating.
