Bobby Petrino was undoubtedly one of the biggest winners yesterday. His Louisville Cardinals smacked No. 2 Florida State 63-20 and poised for a big move up in various polls.
And Petrino may be in line for a move up on his own. Potentially back into the SEC. Paul Finebaum, along with Kevin Carter and Jason Sehorn, debated the idea of Petrino getting another job back in the SEC. Petrino was famously fired from Arkansas after he had a motorcycle crash, which led to the discovery that he was having an affair with an Arkansas staffer.
Petrino has also been long rumored a potential candidate to Auburn, dating back to the the Tommy Tuberville days. With Auburn losing again last night, the Auburn job could be open once again.

In the video, Finebaum reveals that Petrino wanted a chance to interview with Auburn after Gene Chizik was fired.
“He was out of a job and was trying to get some positive publicity to get an interview at Auburn,” Finebaum said. Chizik was about to get fired. He could not get an interview at Auburn, they ended up hiring Gus Malzahn.”
While Petrino and Louisville can enjoy the Florida State win, they still have some tough contests ahead. The Cardinals take on both Clemson and Houston later in the season. If Louisville can win both of those, the Cardinals could be in a great spot to make the College Football Playoff.
