You’ve probably seen it a hundred times by now.
Former Ole Miss and current New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning took the internet by storm on Sunday thanks to his reaction (or lack of) when the Denver Broncos scored the game-clinching touchdown, giving his brother and former Tennessee quarterback, Peyton Manning, his second Super Bowl title.
It’s been the product of countless memes across social media, and on Wednesday, Peyton was asked about his brother’s reaction on “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon.
“I gotta ask,” Fallon said. “What was your brother, Eli, what was going through his mind? Everybody else in the box is screaming. People are lifting children up. It was like a cartoon.”
Initially, Peyton comes to Eli’s defense and said the two Super Bowl champion quarterbacks have always supported each other, and that Eli was “analyzing the game.” But then Peyton always pokes a little fun to his younger brother.
“I’ve seen that look before at some other big moments in my life,” Manning said.
