Two former SEC rivals were featured in a memorable moment before the national championship game.
Former Florida coach Steve Spurrier and former Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning took part in the coin toss at Raymond James Stadium before the matchup between Alabama and Clemson.
Monday was a big day for both. Earlier, it was announced they would be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. Spurrier entered for his work as a coach, and Manning gained entrance for his performance as a player from 1994-97.
Spurrier foiled Manning during the quarterback’s time at Tennessee. The Gators were 3-0 against Manning during the player’s college career.
