Josh Dobbs is unlikely to see the field a great deal in the 2017 regular season, but he looks to have a bright future in the NFL ahead of him. On Friday, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 4th-round draft pick got off to a nice start, hitting former Arkansas star Cobi Hamilton for a touchdown in the second quarter of the Steelers’ preseason opener:

Dobbs figures to have a roster spot already locked up, as he’ll look to serve as Ben Roethlisberger’s primary backup. The former Tennessee star has earned rave reviews this offseason for the work he’s put in during his short time in Pittsburgh.

Hamilton, meanwhile, also likely has a spot on the team sewn up. Though the Steelers have one of the deepest, most dynamic receiving cores in football, Hamilton has performed nicely as a backup to guys like Antonio Brown and Martavis Bryant. In 2016, he caught 17 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns.
