Week 10 ticket prices: Alabama-LSU the game to see regardless of price tag

With real, meaningful numbers next to five SEC schools after the initial College Football Playoff rankings, the games start to mean a little more.

With that in mind, major matchups demand major ticket prices, but don’t let that keep you from enjoying some of the best football in the country.

For those looking to venture out to the stadium this weekend, here’s a breakdown of ticket prices* across the conference courtesy of Vivid Seats.

Most expensive

No. 1 Alabama at No. 13 (CFP) LSU

If you have money to spare, there’s no better place to be Saturday night than in Death Valley. The Crimson Tide opened the College Football Playoff rankings in the top spot (no surprise there). The Tigers are red hot and are looking to make a statement. If you want to see it all go down in Baton Rouge, the cheap seats are $173. The median price sits at $289. Certainly not cheap, but it’s hard to argue the market for this game.

Most affordable

No. 4 (CFP) Texas A&M at Mississippi State

Bulldogs fans really must be giving up on this team. Tickets to see Mississippi State host a team currently slated for the College Football Playoff can be had for as little as $5. The median-priced seats are $25. It’s understandable if local fans aren’t eager to see their team get beat down, but giving up seats for the price of a Taco Bell Big Box is unfortunate. Expect plenty of Aggies fans to be in attendance.

Best value

No. 11 (CFP) Florida at Arkansas

This game is still a little pricey, but compared to the other conference matchups, this is where you want to be. Florida’s defense is nasty, but it can be argued the unit hasn’t been tested. Arkansas, led by quarterback Austin Allen, is coming off a bye week and should give the Gators a taste of the SEC West. A win could vault Florida into the top 10 of the CFP rankings. The Razorbacks surely would jump back into the polls with an upset. The cheapest tickets are $23. The average seats are $68.
