On Saturday, No. 17 Arkansas and No. 21 Auburn will battle in what should be a great showdown of strength against strength at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Everyone knows the struggles of Auburn’s offense and the dominant play of its defense this season. On the other hand, Arkansas’s offense has been explosive while the defense has seen its share of difficulties.
With both teams entering the weekend with momentum on their side, it should be a great game that will play a huge role in determining how the SEC West shakes out in 2016.
Here is what a few national media outlets are saying about the big game:
- Although Arkansas has leaned on its offense to see success this season, the Razorbacks’ defense really stepped up and played a huge role last weekend in the win against Ole Miss, writes Greg Ostendorf of ESPN.
- One credit for the good performance for the Arkansas defense last week goes to Razorback coach Bret Bielema. The Associated Press’ Kurt Voigt takes a different look at the Arkansas defense.
- As far as the betting lines go, Auburn is a clear favorite in the matchup, but for the gamblers out there, what’s the best play? OddsShark.com breaks it down, courtesy of Bleacher Report.
- Fans are obviously looking forward to Saturday’s game, but what does Arkansas think of the Tigers heading into the road SEC West battle? Evan McCullers of 247Sports takes a look.
