There’s no denying the differences in Kentucky and Alabama’s play so far in 2016.
The Wildcats will look to pull the shocker of the year on Saturday, while the Crimson Tide will tune their game before road trips to Arkansas and Tennessee in the two weeks following this weekend.
Here is what a few national media outlets are saying about the cross-divisional SEC contest between Kentucky and Alabama:
- After a long line of dominant running backs have made their way through Tuscaloosa, Alabama entered 2016 with plenty of question marks in the backfield. However, two true freshmen have answered many of those questions through the first month of the season, writes ESPN’s Greg Ostendorf.
- Speaking of freshmen, Jalen Hurts has been quite the surprise for Alabama at quarterback. The true freshman looks to be the real deal, and that news has led backup quarterback Blake Barnett to reportedly be thinking about leaving the program, according to the Associated Press.

- Although the game looks to be one-sided, there’s still plenty to watch on Saturday that could tell us what to expect from the Wildcats the rest of October and November. SEC Country’s own Joe Mussatto breaks it down.
