Ole Miss and Arkansas played one of the most exciting games in college football last season. The Rebels and Razorbacks might provide an encore Saturday in Fayetteville.
The No. 12 Rebels are coming off a bye week and are looking to show why they are still one of the nation’s top teams. Meanwhile, the No. 22 Razorbacks are coming off a physical loss to No. 1 Alabama.
If one thing is certain, this game will consist of a lot of points, and it could very well come down to which team makes the least mistakes.
Here is what a few national media outlets are saying about the big game:
- For Ole Miss, the Rebels enter Saturday with a ton of confidence. Although two losses are on Ole Miss’ ledger, Hugh Freeze and his team think they are capable of running the table, writes Greg Ostendorf of ESPN.
- In the days leading up to Saturday’s showdown at Arkansas, it’s easy to see why Ole Miss has a little more motivation than normal. Last year’s heartbreaking loss to the Razorbacks kept the Rebels out of the SEC Championship game, and that hasn’t been forgotten, according to Ostendorf.
- Arkansas enters the game as an underdog, but what do the numbers really show us about this weekend’s matchup? Sports Illustrated’s Oddsshark previews the Razorbacks’ home game vs. Ole Miss.
