We’re through with Week 10, and it’s time to take stock of where SEC teams stand compared to others throughout the country.
We all know about the AP Top 25 and Coaches poll, but we’re able to take a deeper glance at the picture throughout college football in the “CBS Sports 128,” a ranking of all 128 FBS football teams.
Take a look at the complete rankings here. Below is a list of all the SEC teams:
11. Texas A&M
47. Ole Miss
68. South Carolina
77. Mississippi State
It’s no surprise to see Alabama on top. The Crimson Tide’s impressive victory over LSU last Saturday showed that they can survive a defensive struggle in a tough environment. Auburn’s placement is a reflection of the Tigers’ rise. At 7-2, Auburn is one of the nation’s hottest teams, and it will be fascinating to see if the Tigers can continue their momentum leading into the Iron Bowl on Nov. 26.
Texas A&M, meanwhile, fell four spots after losing to Mississippi State. LSU only dropped one spot after falling to Alabama. Florida made a nine-spot fall after losing to Arkansas, which rose 10 spots with the victory. Tennessee dropped one spot after a rout of Tennessee Tech.
Ole Miss, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State and Missouri fall outside the top 45.
